Amendments for enhanced bioremediation

Hepure supplies a range of bioremediation amendments used to stimulate and sustain the microbial processes that degrade contaminants in soil and groundwater. These products serve as electron donors, oxygen-release compounds, and supporting amendments for both anaerobic and aerobic biological treatment.

The right amendment depends on the contaminant, the target degradation pathway (reductive or oxidative), site geochemistry, and how long the amendment needs to remain active in the subsurface.

The Hepure amendment lineup

Beyond the primary electron donors, Hepure supplies supporting amendments for biological treatment and pH adjustment:

  • Emulsified Vegetable Oil (EVO) — long-duration anaerobic electron donor for reductive dechlorination
  • Sodium Lactate — soluble, fast-acting electron donor for quick biological response
  • Ferrous Sulfate — supports reducing conditions and complements abiotic/biotic treatment
  • Sodium Hydroxide — pH adjustment to maintain conditions favorable for microbial activity
  • ECH — a bacterial supplement (bioaugmentation culture) for enhanced bioremediation where native populations are insufficient
